Lx’s last orthoptic appointment at the hospital – yay! After 5 years it was really strange not to need to go back again (we will go to a normal opticians now). When she started going there she couldnt say what she saw (they use pictures instead of letters for little ones) and she couldnt point to the matching one on her card either.  WE used to go along with Dx – down the ramp in the buggy (which was her favourite part as we would “wheeeeeeee” down the ramp) Then the two of them would play in the little play house or with the trains till it was time for her appointment.

Now she is too big to want to play in the house. And we walked down the steps. Growing up…

Then back to go out and meet friends for lunch beore coming home to let Claire-the-gardener in to spring clean the front garden (bliss!). Off to do school pick up including one extra as Sophie was coming to tea (for the first time – Lx has been talking about nothing else all week!). They all had a great time playing with Claire’s dog – although REALLY it was homework night so I am not sure when we catch up…

Then off for an hour in the freezing rain and wind while Gx had footie practice – at least he didnt seem to mind the cold which was amazing. The Mums were all stood saying “SURELY they will finish soon….” for an hour!

In the evening Matt took Sx to his footie presentation (did I mention his team won the league!) The pink on the trophy is a reflection of the pink folder I stood it on!
