Thanks to a special offer meaning kids go free – I had bought tickets for “Horrible histories” show at the Garrick Theatre in London. This is based on a TV series which teaches children all kinds of facts about History by mean of gruesome facts and silly sketches and songs. It’s really educational. (I learnt loads watching it!) but great fun too and popular with all four of my children.
I had bought a ticket for Matt to come with us too and as the show was at 10.30am so we had stayed in Chiswick at his parents last night. I didn’t want to lug the big camera with me as we were only going to the theatre and back…so I saw it a another opportunity to try and improve on those iphone photos.
We left at 9am for the tube trip to Leicester Square – all very straightforward.
The show was only an hour long but v informative and fun and some great songs and funny bits. Lx was a bit nervous (well a LOT nervous at first, not helped by the first sketch involving how the Romans made delicacies by taking the guts out of dormice and fish (yuk) but after that she was giggling along with the rest of them.
Lunch after at the boys favourite restaurant Bella Italia where Lx managed 3 slices of pizza!! Hallelujah!! What a break through 😀
Then home again with more underground photos on the way…
