When the children were at Matt’s last weekend, Gx and Matt made this creation It was an idea they had for my birthday cake but for various reasons they didn’t get round to making it then but as they had all the “photo parts” made (printed on icing) – they made it last weekend instead.
It was quite impressive and must have taken ages so I was very appreciative of their efforts. The chocolate cake underneath was apparently lovely too
But unfortunately it began to suffer from erosion quite quickly and bits dropped off the corners. And if you have never used black icing, all I would say is…don’t try eating itits not the tastiest icing in the world!!

very clever – I am rubbish with creative cakes. I sometimes envisage making great birthday cakes for the kids but end up buying a sponge and sticking candles on 😀
