After a sleepless night I woke with that horrible ache inside you get when something has happened that is hanging over you. For most of today I struggled to shake off the after effects of yesterday’s meeting and am just hoping the whole of the half-term break from school will not be similarly affected. – but with plans in place already for how to spend the day,I had no chance to try to put anything right and just had to get on.

“Getting on” took  the form of a day in London with Sx and a couple of our friends – to visit the National history museum including the Wildlife Photographer of the year exhibition. Sx had a day off school today but the others had to go in – so Matt was roped in to pick up after school and the four of us set off to rainy London.

We had a great day, saw some fabulous photos and even fitted in a couple of hours in the Science Museum next door. We then stopped for pizza at Bella Italia but they didn’t have a table for four – so the boys sat at their own table for two THey were really well behaved and it was great practice for them ordering all by themselves…but without the hassle of paying the bill!

When I got home Dx had made me a Valentines Card at school in his valuable “golden time”
