A lovely sunny morning and a chance to watch Gx play football today. Unfortunately although the sun was gorgeous and so lovely to be out in – it made for harsh shadows and bright spots which made photography hard.
Gx played so well and was determined to try and get a goal – but unfortunately didn’t manage it He was rewarded for his efforts with a man of the match medal though.
Meanwhile I also got to watch Sx’s game as for the first time both boys were playing at home. I took my eye off the game for a minute and then couldn’t see Sx anywhere. Turned out the goalie was injured so he had taken over in goal – including the Goalie’s cap.
In the afternoon we went out for an activity afternoon where the children got a chance to try martial arts, hairdressing, nail design, cookery and photoshop. It’s hard to drag them out of the house sometimes at the weekend (especially Gx who loves staying home!) but when they go out they do generally enjoy it.
In the evening Matt took the three younger children for tea and to stay the night at his house. Sx and I have an early start for a rugby tournament in the morning. A good chance to chill out and watch the last 6 nations rugby match on TV and enjoy chinese takeaway with my eldest boy.
