When we don’t have an early football match – we have pancakes. As part of my new project (Which I am calling “How do I love thee? Let me shoot the ways”) I jumped into another photo today….

Sometimes (rarely, occasionally) Lx will pick up a book and read for”fun”. It is still really rare – but oh so wonderful when she does!

Her current library book from school  makes me laugh as there is a big sticker on the front of it “Do NOT write in this book – It will be checked”

Parents evening for the three youngest today and all of them are doing really well. Dx is possibly dyslexic but his spelling and writing has really come on so far this term. He has always seemed to find reading ok though

Monday evenings still mean swimming lessons for the younger two Gx has stopped them now but still has to come with us. Sx stays home and does his homework. We still manage to fit in some reading practice before the lessons.

Tonight Lx and Dx tried going to a church run primary school youth club. Dx STILL moans each week about beavers so I thought this might be an idea He came out saying “Can we go again? Can we go more often?” so – so far so good!!

Once upon a time this Momma Duck used to take all 4 little ducks to swimming lessons…

(today’s photos courtesy of my iphone)

IMG_1138(sm)Sx stopped at Easter – and this will be Gx’s last term.

IMG_1136(sm)I am not wanting them to be Olympic swimmers – purely to be able to be safe. It will be so much easier having only 2 of them to take – especially as they are both at the same time. We used to have to have a 4pm, 4.30 and 5.pm class – and take sandwiches to the pool.

At the moment while Gx is in his class – the little two read to me. Time is so short for this kind of task we can’t just sit there and waste the opportunity!
